In a nutshell: "Wendy has changed my life, my relationship with food and my general wellbeing. I cannot thank, praise or recommend her highly enough to anyone with any type of tummy/bowel gripe/issue."The full story:My time with Wendy...I first met Wendy in March 2017. I was exhausted! I had been undergoing various tests, treatment and procedures via my doctors in regards to a very uncooperative tummy.I had been suffering for 6 years with what I described as a 'naughty tummy.' It bloated when I ate food, sometimes expanding 3/4 inches in the hours that followed eating certain foods. The irritating thing was that my foods didn't all belong to one group. It wasn't as easy as cutting out gluten, etc. I flared up with orange juice, rice, bread, caffeine - to name but a few.I had had blood tests, ultrasounds, an MRI, colonoscopy and a laparoscopy in a bid to find out what was going on. What caused this bloating? What caused this incessant pain in my tummy? What caused explosive stools mixed with not passing a stool for multiple days? As much as I value and respect the NHS, they were unable to find out.I was on a rather bizarre exclusion diet - which I had invented as I noted my trigger foods and avoided them as best I could. When I went to Wendy I was at the point of 'what have I got to lose?' I'd heard of colon hydrotherapy/colonic irrigation before, but I'd never thought about having one, as I didn't know the wonders it could work. When I met Wendy, it honestly changed my life. I spoke to her about what had been going on over time, but I'd only been there a matter of minutes and given her some snippets of information, then she started to talk as if she knew me, knew my body, knew my bowels. It was a bit surreal. She knew things about the way my tummy reacted that I hadn't even divulged or suggested. I knew I was in good hands. The wonderful thing about Wendy is (unlike some) she listens - listens to you and what's happening in YOUR body. She doesn't have a sheet with tick boxes and just wants to shove you in to a category, give you some pills and wish you on your merry way.So, I had my first colonic - I know many of you may be anxious about this - it's not everyday that you put a hose in/up there; but Wendy talked me through the whole thing making sure I was comfortable throughout and it honestly is painless. If it does concern or worry you, tell Wendy and she can reassure you.The colonic lasted approximately 45 minutes and then I had some tips to try at home after. I implemented some and noticed an improvement, after 6 weeks I had a holiday and had eaten some naughty food and my tummy felt a bit angry.I had been drinking a bit and eating lots of chocolate so felt I wanted another treatment. I updated Wendy on what worked well and what I could possibly still achieve. Again, we talked, had the hydrotherapy, then I went on my merry way. It's now 4 months since my initial meeting with Wendy and I've just had my third session. The only way I can put it is this lady has changed my life! My tummy now behaves like a normal tummy, passing stools is more frequent (daily, sometimes more than once a day - hooray) and they're of a healthier consistency. I don't have to leave restaurants and go home and cuddle a hot water bottle, waiting for my tummy to 'reset' so we can try and have a better day the next day. From the initial treatment to my recent one you can (literally) see the improvement of my guy health; no more tiny, hard rabbit like stools.I honestly feel like a different person. I know more about my body and how it works, I'm taking supplements that improve my day to day quality of life and bowel and I've grown to respect my body a little more. Yes, I occasionally have the odd piece of chocolate and glass of wine, however I have learned to make food a friend again and not an enemy. I've slowly reintroduced things that were on the 'naughty list.' Some, will have to wait a little longer, but generally my diet is broader and my experiences with food are far more enjoyable.I can't recommend Wendy highly enough. If you have any issues with your tummy, whether it's not passing stools as often as you feel you need to, bloating sporadically, going too frequently or just feeling ultra sluggish; then give Wendy a call and make an appointment. I really hope by taking that step you feel as wonderful as I do! Plus, she's very easy to talk to and genuinely cares about making you feel/be better, so you feel completely relaxed while you are there. Thanks Wendy, for everything! xx
